Obituary of Daniel Barcelos LIMA

1936 – Azores, Portugal 2013 – Calgary, Alberta Daniel Barcelos Lima, age 76, died at Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, Alberta, on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 with his family by his side. Daniel fought a long courageous battle with cancer. Born October 22, 1936 in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, immigrated to Canada in 1960 with his wife Fernanda. He served as a proud member of the Army in Portugal. He was an active member of Our Lady Fatima Church. His passions included his family, gardening, fishing and carpentry. Daniel is survived by his wife of fifty-five years Fernanda Lima; his daughters Stella Lima and Margaret Dos Santos (Trajano); four grandchildren Angelina (Justin), Daniel, Justin and Christopher; brother Orlando Lima (Cecilia); sister Liduina Meneses (Helio) and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Jose Lima; mother Belmira Lima; brothers Fernando, Jose, and Elmiro; and nephews Fernadinho, Jose-Gabriel, and Delio.
