Obituary of Barbara Gayle WILLISON

1954 – Calgary, AB 2013 – Calgary, AB Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy but there is comfort in knowing that the pain and suffering is over. It is with deep sadness that Shauna Lloyd and Jenn Kinsman announce the passing of their mother Barbara (McKinnon) Willison on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the age of 58 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Barbara passed away peacefully with family at her side and in the gentle care of health workers at the Southwood Intercare Hospice. Shauna and Jenn would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to all of those who cared for their mother and ensured that her final days were as comfortable as possible. Barbara was born and raised in Calgary and graduated from James Fowler High School. She spent most of her life living in Calgary and took pleasure in spending time with her daughters and five grandchildren. In addition to Shauna and Jenn and their families, Barbara is survived by her sisters Sandy and Donna and her brother Murray along with many nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Don McKinnon and Kay McKinnon. A celebration of Barbara’s life will take place at the McKenzie Lake Beach Club (16199 McKenzie Lake Way S.E.) on Friday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
