Condolences
To the family of Fr. Fleming my deepest sympathies for the loss of such a great man. Fr. Fleming was my priest for many wonderful years at St. Binaventure. He helped deepen my Faith and love for my Church. He provided me with support, love and guidance during difficult times in my life and carried our entire Parish during days of light and days of darkness always reminding us of God’s love. Thank you fir sharing him with everyone who was Blessed to have been shepherded by him during his incredible life of service. Rest in peace.
I just heard the sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Father Fleming married my wife and I at St. Bonaventure Church in 1993. I still remember how funny he was during our pre-wedding sessions. He made us laugh on the day of our wedding at some of the cracks he made. He was a kind, gentle man and we missed him after he left St. Bonaventure. God has earned another angel. RIP Father Fleming
My prayers are with the “Flemings” re the death of Father Dennis Flemming. The McIntyres were close friends of the Flemmings. My parents moved to the “Pass” in the 1920’s residing there until 1951 then to Calgary. I had visited Fr. Dennis a couple of years ago at the Lacombe Nursing Home. I have sent the obituary to my brother’s Charlie (90), and Jack(88) and my Sister Pat Hanlon.
Father Fleming married my son and daughter-in-law at St. Bonaventure. I served as usher coordinator through much of his time there and spent many happy visits at his retirement home in Bragg Creek. Save me a place in heaven. Father.
Captain Fleming was my District Chaplain, 1967 – 1973.
He served loyally and faithfully to his God, Country and his Troops
When there was a personal problem it was ” go talk to the Padre” and Denis would sort things out
“We wil remember them”
So very Sorry To hear of Fr Fleming passing, He was a very close friend and a positive spiritual influence on our family, since we met him at St James. Love and Prayers.
Our sympathy to the family of Father Denis.
I was his sacristan for most of his years at St. Bonaventure.
He was truly a great, loving, compassionate man. We had many good times
together. He was always there for my family through good and bad times.
Thank-you father Denis. May You Rest In Peace.
I fondly remember Father Fleming from my days at St. Bonaventure parish in Calgary. His kindness will never be forgotten. God bless.
I was an Altar Boy at St. Lukes maybe around late 60’s early 70’s.
Father Fleming was a kind and patient man.
A positive influence.
It is with great sadness that I heard of Father Fleming’s passing. I knew Father Fleming as a young man at St. Luke’s Parish where he helped me grow spiritually and personally. Again our paths crossed when I was married and became a member of St. Bonaventure Parish. Father Fleming holds a special place in my heart and will truly be missed. My prayers go out to his family, may he rest in the peace of Christ.
As a member of St Bonaventure Parish I am deeply saddened by Father Flemming’s passing. He was a wonderful pastor and we all enjoyed his repeat visits. He was loved and will be missed. God bless and rest in peace Father.
Father Fleming figured strongly in our family life when a pastor at St. James, Calgary beginning with our marriage in 1980 and following with blessings and baptisms of our children. He was a kind, thoughtful and intelligent pastor, “modern” for the day in our view and good fortune.
Peace.
