June 22, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta
Sharon Drinkle, beloved wife of Earl Drinkle of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2015 at the age of 62 years, with her family by her side after a long and brave battle with cancer.
Sharon was born in Regina on July 8, 1952. Her family later moved to Saskatoon where she made many life-long friends and graduated from Walter Murray High School. Sharon married the love of her life and soulmate Earl Drinkle on July 1, 1972; they were married almost forty-three years.
Sharon put her heart into her work in various positions over her twenty years with the National Parole Board, finishing her career as a Communications Officer. Sharon was incredibly kind, loving and generous and made everyone around her feel loved. She made every event and every occasion special and taught us how to savor every moment. Sharon adored her family more than anything and she wished for her daughters and granddaughters one thing: “I hope you dance.” She wanted us to never let anything hold us back and to keep dancing, dreaming, loving and enjoying every moment, every day.
Besides her loving husband Earl, Sharon is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Brent Beatty, and Amy and Derek Klassen; her beloved granddaughters, Aspen and Brooklyn; her mother Sophie Boghean; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Faith Boghean, and Dale and Litze Boghean; and the nieces and nephews and their children that she loved so deeply.
Sharon was predeceased by her father Dan Boghean.
