Condolences
I met Chris when he was eleven years old, sitting at the family table, eating supper his Mother (Margaret) had prepared. Doug, Jodie, Chris and I laughed as Ms Flecknor would say "Chris please don't feed the dog at the table". Chris would deny then slip another snack to the eagerly awaiting puppy. He truly was an animal person as Brutus (the oldest family member) wasn't getting the brussel sprouts and other unwanted garnishes, he was getting the good stuff the Meat!
As others have expressed I'm shocked, he was so young and had his whole life ahead of him :(
My condolences go out to Doug, Jodi, Rod, Erik and Abbey.

We much enjoyed the video at the celebration of life - we almost felt we knew him. Our sympathies to all the family.

Chris liked a sale, and would stock up if the prices were good. Once when I was really struggling and thought I may have to go to the food bank for help, Chris graciously opened up his pantry and his freezer and gave his extras to me so I didn't have to go to the foodbank. RIP Chris, and all my sympathies to your loved ones.
You can say many things about Chris but the most important one is that he had a true love of animals. He didn't always see eye to eye with humans but his compassion and love for his feline girls was never in question. He opened his heart to our dogs and to us. I loved having him as part of our family and appreciated him teaching me about the proper way to do electrical projects. I wish he was still with us but he left us with love in our hearts for him. He is gone too soon. Chris and his big heart will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.
Elaine King.
