Obituary of Ida Marie BARRETT

Ida Marie Barrett of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the age of 97 years.

Born in Revin, France, on August 11, 1923, Ida moved to Canada in the early 1950s. Ida was always French at heart, but her love for Canada only grew in the almost 70 years she spent here. Other than devoting herself to her Catholic faith and contributing to the Paroisse’s work, Ida found great enjoyment in hiking the Rockies and deeply appreciated spending time in nature.

Ida is survived by nieces and nephews in France, Michel Facchin, Régis Facchin, Isabelle Facchin and Stéphanie Facchin, as well as nieces in Italy, Federica de Lazzari and Donatella de Lazzari. She is predeceased by her brother, Joseph Facchin, and her parents, Luigi Facchin and Carolina Zarantonello.
