Condolences
I shed a tear when I learned about Betty
Beginning at White Rock Elementary through Semiahmoo High School we were ofern referred to as Boyfirend and Girlfriend.
After that I would think of Betty when reminded by a song from our youth.
The years turned into decades and around the time of our 50thAnniversary of our High Scool Grad, I, along with my wife Eva and thanks to our wonderful friend Judy we became reacquainted.
One day I was getting a coffee at a Starbucks near White Rock and Geoff ad Betty were at a table and asked me to join them.
After our conversation as I left I smiled and thought what a wonderful couple they were.
That's the memory I wil keep of Betty.
My heartrful sympathy goes to Geoff, the family and their many friends.

To Geoff and all the family - I am so sorry to hear about Betty. Cancer must have been such a shock on top of her other medical challenges. I am sure she would have handled it quietly and with great strength and dignity as she handled everything else. I have treasured her friendship throughout my life from lunches in elementary school to lunches with wine at the Cactus Club in White Rock. She will remain beautiful and smiling in my memories and saying "cheers". Judy (Mitchell) Acres
Dear Geoff, Janet and Craig and all the family;
Our deepest sympathy on the passing of Betty. As fellow hockey parents, we met her and enjoyed her company.
She always had a smile and was very pleasant.

To Geoff, Janet and Craig and all the family;
Our deepest condolances to you all at this difficult time of losing Betty. Betty and I were friends at Semiahmoo High School from grade 11 onwards. Henry and I were married in White Rock in 1965, and Betty was at the wedding. Over the years we have kept up with Geoff and Betty in Montreal and then Calgary with visits in White Rock and Langley whenever they were out here.
It is unimaginable how difficult this must have been for Geoff, Janet, Eric, Craig and Michele not to be able to be together and be with Betty. We are thankful at least she had Geoff’s physical presence all the time she was in hospital, so she was not alone.
We will miss her terribly, but we are grateful she is no longer suffering or in pain, but is at peace at last. We love the wonderful photo of her in the obit! Our love and thoughts are with you all, and we hope it is not very long before you can physically be together with the children and other family members when COVID no longer prevents this.
