Condolences
When we first met Jean at Lake Invermere many years ago, it felt like we had known her forever. Her warmth, humour and natural beauty lit up our lives during the time we knew her. Big hugs to Howie, Natalie and Nicole…

Dr. Ward, and family, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful mom. Sincere condolences and love to you all. You have been in our thoughts and prayers.
I was so sorry to hear about Jean's death. Although we have not spent much time together in the last few years, I have fond memories of the many good times we shared in our younger years. We spent so many happy hours over dinners in town and at the cottage on the lake. Jean was a beautiful girl with a great sense of humor and flair for style. She was also kind, compassionate and caring. She truly lit up a room when she she entered it. She will be missed a lot.
I send my deepest condolences to Howie, the girls and their families at this difficult time. May you find comfort in happy memories!

Nicole has been a very close friend of mine ever since we met over 20 years ago at McMaster University. Her mom Jean was always very kind and welcoming. I will remember her beautiful smile and generous spirit. I know her family will miss her dearly. I hope they can find solace in fond and loving memories. My deepest sympathies.
My sincere condolences to all of Jean’s family. I knew Jean since I was six years old, as her daughter Nicole’s friend. Jean used to take care of me in the mornings so my mom could go to work (and come home) earlier. I also spend two weeks in her home every summer from the time I was 11 until I was 18. We had some legendary times out at the cottage, for example with Jean leading us in after dark water fights until we were all screaming and laughing. I always thought she was so glamorous. I’ll miss her.
I was shocked to hear that Jean had passed away. I was telling a friend that I had not seen Jean golfing for a long time. Jean and her group and my group always talk while we are waiting eagerly to tee off early in the mornings. Her group was the Leader of the Pack as they usually have the first tee time. Our group is usually couple tee time later. There was a time when my group played before their group, I let her group go in front of us. Jean was so friendly, always has a smile and always a sense of humor. Laughing is good! She was so brave to golf in her sleeveless golf top and in shorts when it is really cold out. I am not sure if she owns a jacket!
My condolence to Jena's family. I will miss her.

I would like to extent to Howie and all of Jean's family my deepest sympathy on hearing of her passing. Jean was one of a kind, I played alot of golf games with her last year and got to know her sense of humor, and her kindness, she will be greatly missed.
May your love and memories help you all through the days to come.
I was just thinking of her the other day as the golf season is coming to an end. She was such a bright light each time we passed each other on the first tee. Her early morning golf was legendary. She will be missed by many. May she Rest In Peace. Please accept my condolences. Sending prayers to the family during these difficult days.
Howie and Family:
Although I didn't know Jean well, each time I encountered her she always had a smile and time for a few words about our golf game. My deepest sympathy for you and you family while you all adjust to your lives without the support, caring, companionship of a most wonderful wife and mother.

The passing of Jean was an incredible shock to the Calgary Bridge Community. We have lost a friend, a partner, a mentor, and a fierce competitor at the bridge table. We will miss her sense of humor, her smile, her quirkiness and a million other qualities that made her who she was. Our sincere condolences to the family.

Jean was not only a dear friend, great bridge parter, with great sense of humor but was an amazing human being. I have not met many people with such a beautiful soul. Her generosity, I will remember all my life..meet you in next life my friend.
I had the immense pleasure of being Jean's partner at bridge for several years. This wasn't just playing cards. We talked bridge for countless hours - by phone, email and dozens of walks and coffees with other bridge players. Jean was an indomitable conversationalist and riddled every discussion with her infectious humor.
We - with Abdul and Tina traveled around the province and into Montana, At a tournament in Shelby, we once won every event. The real fun was on the drive, where the jokes and puns were continuous and the laughing seemed to never stop.
Jean was generous to a fault and always did things to make everyone feel like a good friend.
I'll remember her always and miss her terribly.
