Dear Brenda and Mike and family,
We just heard of Colin's passing. We are so sorry to hear this news. We both share such fond memories of Colin as a youngster. Russ affectionately recalls coaching Colin's soccer team and running around with him on the field. I will never forget the sweet little smiles that he would share with me. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I didn’t know Colin as an adult but I have fond memories of growing up with him as a child. He was an important part of the neighbourhood gang! When I think back to the days of us Colleen Crescent kids growing up I remember Colin’s laughter. I can still hear it now! Thanks for always bringing joy to us Colin.
Colin sounds like such an amazing young man who touched so many hearts.
Your write up was & Colin's full Life, sounds nothing short of Miraculous.
I do so wish I could have met such a wonderful character such as he. His 'Obit' Card is Amazing as well. So good to see his smiling face. I especially love the one of Brenda with Colin laughing. What a remarkably wonderful relationship.
My sincere condolences to the entire O'Conner Family with a particular focus on Brenda, Mike. Logan & Duncan. you as a family have been through so much over the years. Colin will live on in the hearts of every one he touched and now is free laughing with his loved ones in Heaven.

Brenda and Mike, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear Colin. You are incredible parents, and generously shared your wisdom with us and so many others along our own journey. May you always hold your memories of Colin close in your heart. With sincere sympathy, Joanne & Robin Ganton
I first met Colin when I was in high school. Colin always had such an amazing energy about him: his smiles, excitement, bravery and laughter made him one of the most special people I have ever known. Colin undoubtedly influenced my path in life and made me proud of who I was as a young adult. I'm sure that knowing Colin kept me out of some trouble - but he also got me into some too! While it's true he never spoke a word, he had opinions and knew how to express them. Like the time he wanted to ride the trolley car up to Heritage Park (obvious by his squeals and waving arms when the whistles/bells chimed), and so I squeezed his wheelchair on for the ride, ultimately resulting in the chauffeur needing to remove the trolley doors to get us off! Also, Colin is the only guest of the Glencoe Club who has ever invited me inside, and we never got in without notice, usually setting off the security system or s-t-r-e-t-c-h-ing the rules (just two rapscallions we were...) I have so many memories of Colin. People often say that when a person passes on, it is the memories of them that keep them alive. But for Colin there is more. He has created, nourished, and sustained so many relationships. And these relationships will continue to grow and flourish. Brenda and Mike are two of the most remarkable people I know; they have acted as mentors throughout my life and because of Colin, I got to love, and be loved by his family. Brenda, Mike, Duncan, and Logan, I am so sorry for your loss xoxox Linda
Brenda and Mike words cannot express our heartfelt Condolences to you and your family. Colin welcomed us into his home and shared his joy, his laughter and his kind soul with us. Kyla loved spending time with him "singing" karaoke and hanging out. Colin touched many people's lives and he will be forever missed. Our heart and our thoughts are with you. Sandi & Dan
Brenda, Mike, Duncan and Logan thank you so much for sharing Colin with me. I can’t imagine how you must be feeling. You are all in my thoughts.
Colin you taught me that love doesn’t have to be said but felt. You will always hold a very special place in my heart. I will think of you when I sing Slippery Fish! And yes I still sing it often!! I will think of you as I read The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Oh the memories of reading so many books together!
I will never forget the delight in your face when you held our class hamster. You played the bells in music with more enthusiasm than the entire class when it was Jingle Bell season.
Colin I will cherish our times together forever. My own kids have heard many times over “oh Colin and I used to read that book.” They are sure you and I have read the entire library!
I have carried your kindergarten picture in my wallet for 20 years now. It reminds me of all our laughs and lunch dates together!
Colin even though I haven’t seen you in some time you were in my thoughts often.
Thank you for sharing your smile with me. Thank you for sharing your laughter with me. Thank you for being you!!
I love you.
Bye my friend.

Dear Mike, Brenda, Duncan and Logan
We are so grateful to have had Colin as our nephew and cousin. He was an extraordinary soul and teacher.
He enriched our lives and helped us grow to be better human beings. We remember countless times when he brought his laughter and joy into our lives. Some of our favorite memories were at family Christmas dinners. Colin's laughter and smile were contagious to all that were present.
For Phil and I in particular "Give Kids the World" stands out as such a wonderful experience and memory, it is etched in our hearts forever.
Mike and Brenda you are incredible parents, you blazed new trails and opened doors for Colin and so many others with medical challenges.
Duncan and Logan you are the best brothers Colin could have asked for, and have the biggest hearts.
We are sending you our deepest condolence's and pray that the legacy that Colin left and the love that surrounds you gives you peace at this very difficult time.
All our love,
Cindy, Phil, Morgan, Julian, Gabriel, Chantal, McInnis-Swift Clan
One thing about sweet Colin McInnis - he loved a good card game!
I remember the McInnis clan joining the Christensen clan at our Montana cabin. Logan, Duncan and Bryce are sitting on the living room floor ready to play cards. Colin is slid in to take his place in the game and is dealt a hand. When it's his turn, one of the other boys plays his hand for him. Around and around it goes. Everyone's happy. :)
Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family. So sorry for your loss. Much love from Debra Busic and family.
