Obituary of Janice Lynne Wavrecan

The family of Janice Lynne Wavrecan sadly announce her passing on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the age of 75 years, after a long hard-fought battle with COPD.

Janice is survived by her brother Jim (Ann) Wavrecan, sister Doreen (Terry) McArthur, her nieces, nephews, and many grand-nieces and nephews.

Janice was born in Coleman, AB, on April 26, 1948. She grew up in Calgary, attending St. Mary’s High School. She worked in the insurance industry for over thirty years in various senior positions for Royal Sun Alliance Insurance, with assignments in Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Devoted to her family, Janice was always generous with her time and spirit. She was a loyal and trusted friend. Janice was a tireless fundraiser for Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade.

A Celebration of Janice’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
