Condolences
One of my fondest memories of Rose would be her kindness. I opened a play group at the Rosemont Community Center & being new to the Community Rose brought Chinese Lanterns to welcome me. Margie House
Dearest Alli, Morgan and Corinna - my heart has felt so sad with hearing of the passing of your beautiful Mom Rosemary ( Rose).
Well of all mornings..., I've had problems with my internet connection & the side effects of some good pain relief, I would not miss this opportunity to share my sadness, sorrow, but also joy that I got to meet Rosemary.
Rosemary -
R - Radiance shone from her. I think of a rainbow in the sky!
O- The Optimist you needed to have!
S - Sassy and strong! Oh yep!
E- Excellent cook I recall especially the home preserves!
M- A beautiful Mom - she was a momentous person- stood out anywhere!
A - An artist extroadinaire - whatever she did and how she did it , she touched our lives!
R - Racey gal and a rascal too! (Yeah you know that twinkle in her eye!)
Y - She was youthful and shared that with her family and friends. She was present" everyday no matter how big or small it was.
Rosemary was just one of a kind. We first met when I travelled from NZ to Calgary Canada in 1978 for the Edmonton Commonwealth Games! I had been pen pals with Allison since we were 7 years old - yep you can do the Maths!
Well I remember a beautiful matching top that her Mom made for us to wear! And I had such an enjoyable time at the house. I felt so at home and thats what Rosemary did so well. "Come on in and make yourself at home"
On that trip my family and I got to meet Alli's grandparents on the farm too - I remember so much corn being grown! and eating the best corn ever!
I loved looking at Rosemary's crafts that she made - I recall seeing a box of them stored lovingly and ready to take to a market ( I think).
She had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. Wow so much fun to have at a party and all those yearly celebrations she had with family and friends!
Thinking of you Alli and Ken and your family and all Rosemary's other family who I know and dont know and to all the friends she touched along the way. Its deep in my heart. There will be ups and downs now and in the days ahead of us. Hold onto those good memories and be there for each other for comfort and sharing the joy when you need to.
Ma te Atua koe e manaaki, e whakamarie.
God bless you and comfort you,
Arohanui Lots of love, Teena and family in New Zealand .

Our deepest condolences to the family. We always appreciated Rose’s friendliness as a neighbor and she was such an example as she was always one of the first to be out shoveling every time it snowed. We will miss her.
Heaven just received another beautiful person, a true loss to us mortals here on planet earth. I (and others) definitely remember and cherish her kindness and treats of her fabulous baking while on the PeopleSoft team at the UofC. Rose was a real "fire cracker" of personality. I like to think of her as my "adopted mom". Ok, my apology for not getting permission on that, that is how much of impact she made to me (Ken the good looking one). Allison, Ken (the other Ken) who I have met, to the sisters, children and grand children related to Allison, our sympathy equally extends to you. To the many friends who have a void in their circle, equally sending our condolences.
My and Charlene's best wishes to all.
The Alberta Wild Rose – hardy, adaptable, provides sustenance (rosehips), and blooms beautifully, but be respectful for this Rose can be prickly. These hardy beauties are simply elegant, with an expressive vitality.
This description of the Alberta Rose reflects the Rose I knew. Her vitality and beautiful smile will be missed.
Rose-what a beautiful woman inside and out with a heart of pure gold. I enjoyed my time living with her, all the heart to hearts we had, the card games we played, the cooking and baking we got to enjoy together, the laughs we shared, so many memories we shared in the year I lived with her.
I am so grateful for our visit in the fall-she got to meet our daughter and spoil her with cookies, And I got to share with her that we were expecting our second baby who arrived on April 5. Your mom and grandma will always have a special place in my heart. She will be deeply missed! Sending all my love and big hugs to you all. Natasha
Our deepest condolences to the family. We have lived across from Rose for 18 yrs and I was always amazed and admired her determination to have her yard and sidewalk pristine, no matter what the weather had to dishout. She was a lovely woman to chat with. Rest in peace Rose, as long as we live here i will always be visualizing you looking after your yard.

My sincerest condolences to all of Rose Marie’s family,
What a beautifully written and encapsulated obituary. Rose exuded love and happiness; and particularly with her beloved family. It was a pleasure having met her; and reflecting upon the positive influence she had on those around her. Her aura of love and joy touched everyone in her sphere. My deepest sympathy goes out to you, but I know you will support each other and keep her memory alive. Jane Marsh
I will miss you sweet Aunt “Dusty”. I have so many fond memories of you as a child in your home with Morgan, Corinna and Allison. Our summer adventurer to Jaffray BC and watching you and my mom laughing and laughing into the night. I am sure you two are up there playing cards together and laughing it up. I will miss your sweet messages on Facebook and your cards on my birthday. I love you Auntie…til we meet again.
Rose Marie, that is what my mom called you; with the two of you being best friends. You are back together again laughing and causing trouble. You are my 2nd mom and I can’t express how much I will miss you.
Our hearts go out to Allison, Corrina, Morgan and the family.
Love ya Rose
Leanne, Colby and Tyler
Rose was as beautiful inside as she was outside. She was always smiling and a pure treat!
Rose was my parents’ neighbour for over 50 years. My sincerest condolences to Allison and family for the loss of their amazing, beautiful, feisty Mom. My love and prayers are with you.
