Condolences
My mom, Muriel Bates, worked with Jill at a lawfirm many years ago when I was a little girl. Jill and Mom became good friends and invited me for lunch downtown in the old TD Square on a Saturday. I was really young, maybe 10 YO. I remember dressing up in high heel boots that were very uncomfortable. I sure I wobbled and stumbled in those boots. It was so nice Jill took the time to get to know me as a little girl. She came to the house often and she and mom kept in touch after mom left the lawfirm. I saw Jill in 2017 when she came to my mom's celebration of life after she passed away. I recognized her right away and it was so nice she came. My deepest sympathy to the family. Jill was a very nice person and left a wonderful memory for a little girl who is now nearly 60 YO.
I’m deeply saddened to hear of Jill’s passing. She was a beautiful person, so friendly and kind. We will all miss your friendship.
There are truly no words to describe the painful loss of my dear friend Jill. She was a stellar example of what it means to be a good friend and a kind soul. I will miss her cheerful disposition.

I was so sorry to hear about Jill's passing. When Bill devoted many, many years volunteering at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary, Jill was always so supportive. She hosted the Board at their home when we needed a quiet place to hold a meeting. Jill was positive, kind and so interested in people, she always made me feel so welcomed. She will truly be missed.
I was very blessed to have Jill as my friend meeting during the open doors project at St Stephens. .We shared many lunches and coffees. But I think our getting together during a Covid winter shows the dedication to our friendship. We bundled up in our winter gear and spent almost two hours walking and talking even though the temperature was -15. I will miss her greatly.
