We are sending much love and support in this time of loss to you Morgan, and the entire Broderick family . Feeling so fortunate to have known Dougie , Duke, since the boys were young and reconnecting with friendship and work years later , much over a decade ago now. Sitting at the airport ready to go to Palm Springs and the intro to Morgan ignited a fun and life changing relationships for Scott and I. The trust and value Doug always had placed on special relationships meant the world to us and has brought us the friendships and fun experiences within the entire Broderick family , which we cherish so much throughout the generations of your amazing family. We will always cherish your friendship and vibrancy for life... with much love , we will always hold you dearly in our thoughts and will always raise a little crooked smile and "up to something chuckle" when thinking of you . Condolences to all whose lives were enriched by just knowing Doug. So much love to Morgan and the Broderick family .
Laurie and Scott
My deepest condolences to Morgan and the Broderick family. I feel privileged to have known Doug for many years and will always remember his laughter and zest for life. Truly a friend to all that knew him and a pleasure to be in his company. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Dearest Morgan,
I cannot imagine the shock and sadness you, the boys - Sean and Josh, and the brothers John, Mike, Pete, Paul and Doug’s twin, David, are experiencing with Doug’s sudden passing. This seems like an impossibility. It was Doug who “added me to the Broderick family” saying i was now one of the family with pricing for appliances that i purchased for all my clients, and we had a good laugh each time it happened . I always looked so forward to seeing and visiting with both of you when I entered the store, it was like ‘home week’ spending time with Doug and catching up on the latest family news. He was always so kind and generous in his interest of others. We have all been blessed by knowing Doug, he has enriched so many lives, and will be greatly missed. Sending love and our heartfelt condolences to each of you, Donna (and Bob) Schmidt

We sincerely hope the love he shared, and the positive impact he had on all the lives he touched give the family some measure of comfort. Lori and I extend our heartfelt condolences.

My parents owned a cottage next door to the Brodericks at B-Say-Tah on Echo lake and thats where i first met Doug. He was 3 and I was 13. Didnt say much to him since he could barely talk then but as we grew older I got to know him very well. he was a very active boy as all can attest to. Great guy to have as a beach neighbour and will be missed.
With sadness and deepest condolences to the Broderick family .
Doug was a very special man and I forever hold our friendship
with cherished memories .
Rest in eternal peace
I was so saddened to hear of Doug's passing. Doug was one of the great friends I had in high school and though our paths drifted over the years I will always think of him as a dear friend and enjoyed seeing him the odd time in Palm Springs. Doug was fun and funny - truly the life of the party and his write-up is spot on in every way. He was a fine athlete and good businessman. I will miss this friend who is gone far far too soon. To the Broderick family I pass on sincerest condolences at this difficult time. The Malner familyhave you in our thoughts and prayers. RIP my friend, Douglas.
The entire Kramer Family sends their condolences. From those days in Saskatchewan and especially at B Say Tah beach, to the adventures in Edmonton and finally Calgary, Doug never shied away from being the Duke. Heaven is now richer…
