Condolences
Dearest Rosemarie, family, and friends,
I remember the fun of Rosemarie and Stan’s wedding in her back yard Edmonton, especially with the humour and commentary during the reception. Alas family needs and obligations won me over to living in eastern Canada. I recall their visit there and the infectious fun we once had with a waitress in a restaurant, walks about town and the boardwalk, and photos in our little sailing village.. Right now, the loss of Stan is heavy in our hearts ; we all will take some time to recover. May we all treasure the magical grins and smiles at Stan’s fun and often scottish tomfoolery-- words and ways that brought laughter, light, and love to everyone around him.
Love and hugs to you all who knew and miss him, from Glennis Munro
Heartfelt condolences to all of Stan's loved ones.
Stan was a bright light. He had a kind heart and an open, friendly nature. As "Consuegros", (Spanish for co-in-laws), it was clear to see that Lesley was the apple of his eye. I am grateful for the loving and respectful relationship he had with Spence and way he welcomed the rest of our family into his. As co-grandparents to Frida, I know she loved and always looked forward to seeing her Grandpa Stan.
Living in different cities, we didn't get to spend a lot of time together, but Stan was always a burst of energy, love and cheerfulness when we did see each other. I will always treasure the time we spent together.
I'm sorry I can't be with everyone to celebrate Stan, but I am sending love from his beloved Scotland.
Rosemarie and family , though I only met Stan on short visits , it was a privilege and honour . I sensed that he was incredibly smart and caring gentlemen and truly missed to all they knew him . He will bring even more joy into the next world . Bless you all . David
