Dear Lexie and family,
We enjoyed every visit with Dennis at the boat barn and the Remenda annual community parties. Our hearts are with you as you grieve. Dennis was an impressive man in so many ways. He made the world a better place and will be missed.
Sincerely,

Dennis was a special friend of Eddie & me. He was best man at our wedding. Have many fond memories.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dennis as a work colleague at PanCanadian in the '80's and '90's. He was an excellent leader and mentor to many and will be remembered always for his gentle demeanour and ready smile. My sincere condolences to the Chorney family.
We are truly sorry for your loss. Our deepest sympathies to Lexie and family.

Dennis and I shared a deep commitment to and appreciation of SAIT. He was such a lovely man.
My deepest condolences to Lexi and family
I first met Dennis on the outdoor ice rink in Clair Saskatchewan. It was an exhibition game between the Quill Wild Cats vs the Clair Bears, I thought who is this guy I can’t catch. Later when we would race on skates at the Quill Lake Carnival, I still could not catch him! When we were finally on the same team and I just loved being his left winger. Sixty years later I still recall many magical moments playing together.
Even when Dennis sent me with the football through the front line where a big moose on the other side was waiting to crush me, I would do it because he made the call and he was our leader. So many great memories of Dennis on the ice and field etc. Another stand out moment was when Dennis, Shinny and I trekked out to the West Coast & the Gulf Islands. Dennis singing Louis Armstrong songs as we waited for rides as we hitch hiked and camped in our pup tents.
So long Brother, I’ll always remember all the good times we had. When you come across the Field of Dreams, save me a spot down low close to third base. See you there!
Love you Man - Tom (BJ) Coleman
We offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to Lexie and family. Our roots to Clair and Quill Lake bring back many happy and sincere memories of Dennis during those formative years.
Wishing you peace and courage as you navigate these challenging days!

Dennis went to school at Montana Tech with my brother Marty. I was sometimes included in the Canadian group of friends that went for a hilarious night out. Dennis was the most considerate and nicest of the group. He was especially nice to my mother and he and Lexie never forgot to stop by when they were in Butte to see their boys when they went to Tech. It meant so much to her.
I was very sad to hear of his passing. A truly lovely man.
Our sympathy and condolences to Lexie and family.
Indeed a sincere and true friend to all of us.

We met Dennis in 2010 when I started working at Teine Energy ( a company he founded ). He was a very friendly & optimistic guy -always smiling .His great sense of humour made it a pleasure to be in his company. We had the pleasure of traveling with him & Lexie on two Malt Shop cruises where we enjoyed listening good old 60's music. We became close friends over the past 14 years having spent time with him & Lexie at their condo in Maui and their house at Vernon. They always made us feel at home whenever we visited with them .
We will miss him as a great friend & colleague of was respected in the energy industry for his wealth of knowledge and generosity.

Dennis and I grew up in the small town of Clair, SK, and I can’t think of a better place to grow up!! Dennis was like the big brother I never had!! There were a few of us that were inseparable and did everything together!! Dennis even taught me how to dance, and looked out for me at parties!! He always had my back!! As we grew older, we lost touch and then met up again at my sisters funeral!! My deepest condolences to Lexie & family!!
I love you and miss you Dennis, rest in peace!!
Dennis was a kind, generous, thoughtful and inspiring man whom I had the privilege to know. As a proud SAIT grad, Dennis maintained his connection to his alma mater and influenced the PET program and articulation agreement with Montana Tech for the benefit of hundreds of students. The sparkle in his eye and the smile on his face when he spoke of his time at SAIT were endearing. He will be missed, and his memory will be cherished. His legacy will live on in the many things he accomplished and the many lives he impacted. A life well lived, indeed. Our deepest condolences to Lexie and the Chorney family.
So many memories of Uncle Dennis that will forever be cherished. He has been so much more than an Uncle to me since the passing of my dad. He has been my rock and one of my biggest supports navigating through mom’s health challenges. So grateful some of my closest friends were able to meet this special man and spend time with him in Vernon. He definitely made an impact with them all. A memory that will forever bring a smile to my face is when he showed up at Kylers hockey game in slippers!!
+We would like to express our sincere condolences to the Chorney Family. Dennis was a prince of a guy. We have many cherished memories of he and Lexie from over the years.
Dennis pioneered the ability of Canadian SAIT/NAIT students to continue their education and earn full four year Petroleum Engineering Degrees from Montana Tech. Through Dennis's continuing efforts many hundreds of Canadian students have been able and will continue to be able to advance their career opportunities through the program.
Dennis and I were from the same home town Clair, Sask., he was closer to my sister’s age but I still knew him well. The last time I saw Dennis and Alexis was at my sister’s funeral, I was so appreciative that they came. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this tough time.
Uncle Dennis was so much to so many. My favorite memories of him were spending time together at “the dock” growing up and when he visited our family in Switzerland. During his visit to Switzerland we shared many meaningful conversations over a glass of wine…I still remember vividly the things we talked about. Ryan and I loved listening to his stories and spending this quality time with him is something I will cherish forever. I will also never ever forget how Uncle Dennis and Auntie Lexie were there for me when my mom passed away. He was one of a kind and will be missed. I am grateful to have had him in my life.
Donna and I are sorry to hear of Dennis's passing. We got to know Dennis and Alexis many years ago as their son Matt met our son Tony when they were 4 years old in play school and they grew up together over the years. Dennis was a soft spoken and kind man. He was also an astute entrepreneur and businessman as well as a leader in the community. We would like to offer our condolences to Alexis and all of her family during this difficult time. Donna and Lorenzo
