Tracy Primrose

Obituary of Tracy Michelle Primrose

May 28, 1962 – Calgary, Alberta

November 9, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

The family of Tracy Primrose is immensely saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 62 years.

Our beautiful, funny, headstrong, and beloved matriarch was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer earlier this year. Ever the pragmatist and with the no-nonsense outlook that is quintessentially Tracy, after goodbyes were said with the ones who loved her the most, she fell asleep and “faded off into the sunset,” just as she wished.

We are simultaneously heartbroken and deeply relieved that Mom is free from the pain and suffering she endured these past months. Thank you to the staff and doctors of FMC IPCU for their kindness and support.

Tracy is survived by her loving husband of 36 years and best friend, Mac; her daughters, Amy and Holly, and their spouses; her brothers; her mother-in-law; and her three grandchildren, whom she adored. She was predeceased by her parents, father-in-law, and brother-in-law.

We will love and miss her forever. She will live on in memories, sarcastic quips, family traditions, and through her husband, children, and grandchildren. She’s still here, and always will be.

At Tracy’s request, no formal service will be held. Those wishing to honour her may do so by making a donation to a charity of their choosing.

“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” - A. A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh
