Condolences
Dear Christine and family;
Dirck and I send our sincere and heartfelt sympathy on the passing of dear Ron....he was a gem. Having you, Jennifer and the grandkids was really his dream come true and you will all miss him terribly. Everyone who knew him through the Outfit connection has a Ron memory or story...what a lovely obituary for a lovely man.
Our condolences,
Ruth and Dirck
Christine and Family: My sincere condolences. I heard of Ron's passing today and I am reminded of our many trips down the Elk River, long fun nights of horse training, being beat mercilessly in squash and of course the days and years of working together. Ron was such a kind and gentle soul and he enriched my life with his friendship! All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Kindest personal regards, Bob Gruszecki
Dear Christine and family,
My deepest condolences to you. Such sad news was my first reaction but then I started remembering Ron. Such a kind, generous, wonderful gentleman with a genuine interest in others and a great sense of fun. He had a delicious sense of humour and enjoyed sharing it, always with a twinkle in his eye. I had the good fortune to work many years with Ron at the Loram Group (the Outfit) where he taught me much about respect for others, oood work ethic, and the flexibility and sustainability needed to find success in doing a job well. He was a respected work mate but also a great friend. I shall miss him but as I have been thinking of him, a smile has come to my lips. I think he would be pleased by this.
Dear Christine and family,
My deepest sympathy to you all. Ronnie was a great man, along with his love of the outdoors he also taught me to live in the moment and enjoy life. I still laugh at some of the practical jokes he played on me. My kids all benefited from fishing with Log Jam and spending time at the cabin.
The lunches he made for our long days on the river were legendary. Thank you Ronnie, you will be truly missed.
Christine & family,
My most sincere condolences for your loss. I cherish the memories made with Ron over the years. Glad we were able to visit before Christmas and share some laughs/memories. I'll miss his quick wit, humor and kindness. May Ron rest in peace.

Dear Christine, Jennifer and family. Kathy and I want to extend our upmost condolences on Ron’s passing. We spent over thirty years fishing and exploring the Elk Valley together. My boys now in their early thirties spent wonderful weekends with Uncle Ronnie at the trapper’s cabin along one of the western branches of the Elk. They caught their first fish with Uncle Ronnie guiding them along the log jams which he was famously nicknamed. Ron was a great sportsman shooting pheasants or when fishing on the west coast, could tell the nibble of a chinook salmon at 200 feet. But more important that those innate abilities, the love for Christine and Jennifer and those beloved grandchildren were paramount. Ron was a great man, husband, father and grandfather. A mentor to many and as he had said many times, I’ll meet you up at the next hole Joe and I’ll leave a few for you. God speed Logjam.
