Obituary of Ron Guza

Ronald “Ron” Guza of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the age of 88 years after a brief illness with his family by his side.

Ron was a dedicated employee of the Mannix Group of Companies for over forty years. 

His love of everything outdoors was unmatched. Whether it was fishing, horseback riding, skiing, or gardening. His fishing stories, including the best spots to go, were shared many times over, especially with his fishing friends. In later years, when he was no longer able to go on these trips, he would love to reminisce and hear all the new stories from his fishing buddies.

Ron was a loving husband to Christine, his dear wife of 45 years, a devoted father to Jennifer and son-in-law Paul, and the best grandfather to his three greatest joys, Emma, Jack, and Carter, who will all miss him terribly. Ron is also survived by extended family in Calgary, Vancouver, Montana, and Australia. Ron was especially grateful for the entire Wood family, who have taken us in as their own for over thirty years.

As per Ron’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Instead, please spend some special time outdoors with your family and friends in remembering a dear man who was truly loved.
