Condolences
Greg and boys;
We were sorry too hear of the loss of Suzanne. She was always such a character. We got to know you all through hockey in Airdrie, and Suzanne was always smiling and so happy ! Your boys played hockey with our daughters Brittney and Brooke when we first moved to Airdrie; she was always so kind to everyone. The world lost someone special, and god gained another Angel. Just remember she will always be with you, in all the special events that lie ahead, be strong and love one another as she loved you !!!

Dear Greg, Cody, Josh, and Lockert/Masse Families:
Our hearts break for you all with the loss of Suzanne. She brought such beautify and spirit to everything she did …from being a wife, mother, teacher, scrap booker, or cheering on her sons/ her “ kids” at various sporting events.
The Lockert family was so kind to us when we first moved here in 2006. Greg as a coach and Suzanne with just her easy-going friendship & kindness. I got to know her as our boys played hockey. Suzanne and I talked at length about our boys and having them so close together. She said to me one time: “Mothers of girls don’t get what it is like to be a mother to boys…it is just different ” I have said that same statement to many Mom of boys to make them feel better about their boys rambunctious behaviour when they are rolling around play fighting at the rink or at the bank.
One of my fondest memories is of Suzanne was her just showing up out of the blue at my daughters hockey game in Canmore. Her boys were not even playing anymore but was out for a walk whilst at a scrapbooking convention. Her and her scrapbooking buddy Lori were passing by the rink and popped in to see what was going on.. She seen a team from Airdrie on the board and well stayed to watch the game (and hug and visit with everyone she knew). The kids that she taught were so excited to see her…”Madame Locker is here !” It was like she was a rock star. In true Suzanne fashion, she took the time to go and talk to her students that were on the team outside the dressing room between periods. The normal(wildly hyper-pee-wee age) boys on the team became these little tame gentlemen . She really just had a special wonderful, caring and kind” way” with everyone..
Rest in Peace Madame Lockert.
The Epp Family

Paul, Helene and family and Lockert family,
It is with heartfelt sadness that we heard of Suzanne’s passing. Although we never met Suzanne, we can see that she was a very special person, wife, mother and daughter. I know her parents very well, and was amazed at Suzanne’s resemblance to her mother at her age! We are so VERY sorry for your loss. We can only try to imagine your sorrow, but pray that the memories of the wonderful times you shared will bring comfort and peace.
Dear Greg and all your family, please know out thoughts and payers are with you all, may God bless.
I will always remember Suzanne for her warm smile and great hugs! Every time I would see Suzanne at Teacher’s Convention, in Shopper’s Drug Mart or at Anna’s for coffee, she always welcomed me with a great big hug! Suzanne would always say to me, “You have to come back and teach at OLQP, we miss you there.” I will always remember the fun times at year end parties and golfing with her. She was truly a genuine, kind hearted beautiful lady. She will truly be missed!

Madame Lockert taught and inspired all 3 of our children. Suzanne welcomed us each time she saw us at OLQP with her smile and genuine enthusiam. Her tireless commitment to all that were a part of Catholic community and OLQP were what Suzanne was about. We send our prayers and support to the family.
Condolences to Greg, sons and family.
Suzanne is one who has such a large “extended family” as she touched the lives of so many staff and students. Students not only learned French (or any other school subject) from her, they learned about her life as she passed along life lessons to her students. It is a rare teacher that impacts the lives of so many through her teaching. She understood what it meant to “teach kids” and her joy for life taught many lessons to her colleagues as well. She has touched many of our lives and we are blessed to have been impacted by her.
Dear Greg, Cody & Josh,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Suzanne. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. Surely she is an angel looking down on you all. She was very proud of the boys and mentioned them often at school.
Suzzanne Lauzon

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Suzanne was the most wonderful person to work with. I got to know her when we were planning our first tournament . There was nothing she wouldn’t do to make our school a great place to be. I was also fortunate to team teach with her one year and I really learned a lot from her. No matter how she was feeling or what was going on in her life she always made the students and staff feel that she was there for them. She was so funny with her frogs, frenchies, and freaks and she is so missed. Take care of yourselves.
On behalf of CIMCO Refrigeration, I’d like to offer our heart felt condolences on your loss.
Greg, Cody and Josh, our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with you and your family. We will always have wonderful memories of Suzanne, she will be greatly missed, our hearts go out to you all.

I had just found my favorite teacher on Facebook January 13th and this is what I wrote to her:
Bonjour Mme. Suzanne! This is why I love social media. So fortunate for its means to connect people that I may otherwise never encounter again! To this day, you were the most influential teacher I’ve ever had… And that was 2nd grade. Hope everything is going well up north! Living in the States is wonderful but I miss my home land often. Sending hugs from Colorado :-)

Kindest regards,

Our love and caring are with you and your boys Greg ,
I never knew your lovely wife/mother as anything but Madame. Our son Beau came home I think when he was in grade 5 and talked each and every day about Madame. She believed in my boy and helped me believe more in my boy. Beau even babysat for you till the day he took your boys to the park and on the way home with bat and ball in hand ended up hitting a neighbors window. Beau just said “Mom I hid the bat behind my leg” after I asked if he owned up to the home owner. Our sympathies are with your all.
Haley, Robert ,Beau, and Deneeka
I was a boarder at Rivier Academy in 1982 and remember Suzanne fondly. I am so sorry for your loss Greg and family. Gone far to young. RIP Suzanne.
My heartfelt condolences to Madame Suzanne’s family(s)…
My daughter was in Madame Suzanne’s class for the last two years and she absolutely adored her. When she mentioned this very sad news to me on Saturday night, she had another gal (who was also a student of Madame Suzanne’s) spending the night. Hearing of her passing upset them both very much, so I cuddled with them and asked them to share with me their best memories of her, and the first thing they brought up (at the same time) was ‘FROGS’..I said what? and they told me Madame Suzanne had frog’s everywhere in her classroom. I said ‘Oh, she loved Frog’s’, and they quickly responded ‘No, she hated real ones’, but she collected them. :-) They also spoke of just how sweet and nice she was. I never personally had the opportunity to meet this wonderful lady but I could tell from the girls that she was geniuinely loved and will be sorely missed by everyone. May her many, many precious memories keep her alive in your hearts forever , (I know my daughter will always remember her and I am grateful for all that she did for her)

I am so saddened to hear of Suzzanne’s passing but she is no longer in pain and is at peace . My thoughts and prayers are with you all .
Take Care!!
We will miss Suzanne greatly at our house, I remember my eldest son who is now 19 talking about being in her class long before he ever got there and she is fondly remembered for many fun classes by him as well as my daughter and 4 other sons that knew her. My 11 year old was in her TAG and the first thing he said to me was “she was like a parent at school” I personally always looked forward to seeing Suzanne at the school because she always had a smile and stopped to ask how my older kids were doing now that they have moved on from school, and she always asked about them by name so I knew she remembered them and knew who they were as well as who I was! A very beautiful lady for sure!
Greg, Cody and Josh,
I’m so very sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine the pain you must be feeling. I’ve heard so much about Suzanne and her ability to share a smile and leave positive impact with others. Her time was so short with you as a family, but she leaves a legacy of love for you. I hope your memories will help to provide you peace and healing.
My sincere condolences to Suzanne’s family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thoughts and prayers to you Greg, Cody, Josh and your family during this time of great loss.
Nothing but fond memories of Mme Lockart at OLQP. It’s been 16 years since I had the pleasure of being in her class but I will always remember her for her kind and beautiful nature (and her love for frogs!). May the wonderful and cherished memories comfort you during this difficult time.
We are so saddened to hear of Suzanne’s passing. We had the good fortune of playing ball with both Greg and Suzanne. When Suzanne joined the Airdrie Ladies Fastball League, she doubted her ability to play fastball. Like a trooper, she put that beautiful smile on her face and practiced until she became a great ball player. We couldn’t ask for a better teammate. Suzanne also taught our niece, Meghan. She always talked about how much she loved Madame Lockert. She has left her mark on the world and will be missed by many.
So sorry to hear about your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. What a beautiful girl. Seems like just yesterday that I babysat Suzanne, Carmen and Rick. May God bring you peace during this difficult time.
Greg, Josh and Cody and Family,
