Re: Rev. Dr. Carl E. Borchardt ~ Victory Service April 3, 2020
Dear Darlene and family,
I'm sure this is a time of both grief and relief. Grief that Carl is no longer with you physically but relieved that he is no longer suffering. You were all so fortunate to have such a remarkable man in your lives as husband and father. I'm sure the private family service was lovely and perhaps more meaningful then a huge celebration. I know the last few years have been difficult and pray that when the grieving is over you will all have a new lease on life.
We returned from our Florida hiatus early due to covid-19. However, we enjoyed our time thoroughly while we were there. We are staying home as instructed and praying for better times. Fortunately, our family is all well. Coleen and family are next door so we are helping one another out. Everyone is home from school/work. It is a surreal time for sure.
May God bless you all

Re: Rev. Dr. Carl E. Borchardt ~ Victory Service April 3, 2020
Dear Aunt Darlene, Carl Jr., Mark and Lisa,
Bruce and I extend our sympathy to all of you. Thank you for letting us know. Thank you for including the Victory Service bulletin and the picture from the cemetery. We are certain you will miss Uncle Carl. We pray you are staying healthy during this time of turmoil in our world. God has a plan. We must be patient and wait. We are all well, including Mom Florence. This is a difficult time for her. Even though she was not physically (in proximity to distance) close to Uncle Carl and Uncle Paul, it is a loss for her. She is strong in her faith and assurance of the resurrection. Blessed Easter!
Blessings..

Aunt Darlene and family,
Just heard about Uncle Carl passing away. Please accept our deepest sympathy to all of you.
My memories of him is a gentle, quiet man. The last visit we made to your house was so special to all of us that stopped, especially mom. We'll cherish the memory of chatting and laughing with all of you.
May peace and love surround you at this difficult time.

RE: Rev. Dr. Carl E. Borchardt ~ Victory Service April 3, 2020
We are saddened by Rev Dr Carl's passing. Thank you so much for sharing. It is a beautiful, scenic picture and it really reminds me of Heaven. I enjoyed looking at the pictures and reading about Uncle Carl. I think my mom had a special place in her heart for him since he was the youngest. She always talks so fondly of remembering him coming home from college/seminary and she would wash his clothes, etc. We will keep you, Lisa, Carl Jr and Mark in our prayers.
